Oolong Tea

Oolong Tea sits between Black and Green Tea, as the oxidation process falls between the two.

The method by which the tea is picked and processed can also determine the depth of flavour.

Machines are used in the modern CTC (cut, tear, curl) method.

However, the traditional / orthodox method, treats the leaves with more care and respect.

At New Leaf Tea Tasters, the majority of our teas follow the orthodox method.

Humidity, air and light will spoil tea. So make sure it is stored in an airtight container, then it can't be contaminated by other odours. The best way to store tea is in a caddy. That’s why New Leaf tea tasters tea is packaged in caddies, which can be refilled. The tea chest pouches are made of cellophane, so they can be resealed and stored inside your tea chest, away from light and odours.
